The first thing I noticed as soon as I entered the lobby of Sheraton Imperial KL was just how grand and majestic the whole decor was. The jaw dropping spiral staircase grabbed my attention and the chandeliers dangling from high ceilings made me gawk in awe. That was just my first impression of Sheraton’s grandeur and it only got better through my three days stay there.

Experience Luxury Living at the Club Suite of Sheraton Imperial
Booking a club suite is absolutely the best way to enjoy some luxury and pampering in KL. If you want to treat yourself, spend a few nights in the club suite and you will not be disappointed. Here’s why –
Access to Club Lounge
By offering exclusive access to the elite private Sheraton club lounge to all members and those staying in club rooms, Sheraton has dominated the business travel space in KL. This lounge is perfect for evening cocktails, business talks, breathtaking views of KL tower and just to relax if one may please. During my stay there, I frequented the lounge for working on my blog and enjoyed complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres every evening. Being an elite member of Sheraton sure does has its perks!
Spacious and elegant interiors
Stepping into the club suite will bring an instant smile to your face. My eyes popped with one look at the spacious living area, master bedroom and the golden tinged intricate detailing everywhere. My first impressions were recorded here –
Views Views and more Views
Okay the view from living and master bedroom, was so amazing that I could just sit by the window staring at the changing colors of the KL tower all night. Okay admittedly I did it… but don’t blame me, who could resist such a stunning setting? You get a bird’s eye view of KL city, rising sun, sky porn at sunset and the lovely lights at night – your room is the perfect place to watch how the city changes moods and colors, from dusk to dawn. Who would want to go out in the heat then if you can enjoy all of that from the comfort of your ultra luxurious room?
Dining Options at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur
Now that I had somewhat digested the sheer grandeur and lavish interiors of Sheraton Imperial KL, I was about to witness a different level of luxury – fine dining!
Massive Breakfast Spread at Essence
Essence had the most interesting and massive breakfast spread I have ever seen. From fresh fruit juice to 6 different types of cuisines, live kitchen to cold cuts – Essence at Sheraton Imperial KL will leave you totally floored by the variety of food on display.
Chilled out Ambiance and Finger Licking food at Toastina Cafe & Bar
Once you are in Sheraton, its hard to get out. We barely stepped out once to see the KL Bird park but pretty much got back post lunch to bask in the luxury of our comfy club suite. Since my folks and I were guests of the hotel, we were invited to check out their cafe Toastina. After seeing all the fine dining options we had lined up, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a “Cafe”. Their special menu has a drink + a dish for just RM23 which sounded too good to be true.
Unsure of what to expect, I went by our server’s choice of the popular dish – Oven baked Seabass. It was a mouthgasm from first bite. With cherry tomatoes and mashed potatoes on the side, this was one of the best dishes I had during my one month in Malaysia – Yes, that’s how good it was! We quickly ordered seconds and delightfully dug into the next dish of Fish and Chips.
You need to understand that I have been trying different local Malaysian foods throughout my trip so trying out different cuisines at Sheraton was simply delightful.
Elegant decor and Italian Delicacies at Villa Danieli
First night our dinner was at the fantastic Villa Danieli. Already happy after trying the evening cocktails at the club lounge, we headed to try out some Italian fine dining. Villa Danieli is situated by the pool and has elegant outdoor and indoor seating. The entire restaurant looks like it has come right out of a classic Hollywood flick – charming, tastefully decorated, low lighting and high style quotient – Exactly how I would like a fine dining restaurant to be.
After admiring the decor, I was seen admiring the menu. From umpteen options to choose from, I decided to follow the chef’s advice (As always) Pizza Alla Contadina and Tortelloni Al Formaggio Di Capra. The infusion of fresh herbs and flavorful toppings, coupled with a glass of Merlot, instantly took me to food haven.
Fine Dining and Scrumptious Chinese Cuisine at Celestial Court
Next evening, we headed to try some Chinese flavors at Celestial Court. The first thing that caught my attention here was the red highlights in decor. I was so impressed by the interiors, I had to take pictures even before I sat down to order.
Our server “Jojo” was sweet, smiling and helpful. She recommended some great dishes based on our preferences and everything matched our taste buds to the T. After trying one dish after the other, I zeroed in on my favorite dish of the night – ‘Stewed Prawn in Nyonya Style Curry served with assorted veggies in clay pot‘. Other delightful delicacies were Mushroom skewers, Spicy mini lobster meat soup, Hot and Sour soup and the palatable Hong kong style roasted duck with five spices.
After my three days in Sheraton Imperial KL, all I hoped was that I had more time there. Sheraton’s location is perfect with a mall just opposite and an easy cab ride away to city’s attractions. Everything from food, staff, decor, style, wine – was just perfect! We felt like royalty, if only for three days.
